The Rivian plant (formerly DSM/Mitsubishi) has made great strides in its remodel/retooling of the plant and remains on pace to begin production in 2020.

Inspections Receives Class 3 ISO Rating
The Inspection Department was evaluated through the Building Code Enforcement Grading System administered by the Insurance Service Office. The process evaluates construction plan review and field inspection practices, as well as Inspector experience and qualifications. The rating places Normal in the top 8 percent among Illinois jurisdictions.
